Hi there, First of all I would like to complement u on an excellent site which u haff created. I must say that u heleped me a lot in comprehending all the history text i was forced to read in doing my history module. It was very organised and all the infomation are easy to comprehend. Thanks once again. I would like to suggest if its not too bad of an idea that u add an extension to the history of india to more of a forum or rather a discussion on certain historical issues especially where politics is concern and where people and even u urself can post ur opinion on how u perceive the whole thing (e.g: how close was the accusation that the fast carried by Gandhi was more of an emotional blackmail..etc) and .. well it would be nice if you could add some info about Jinnah or at least try to view it from both sides because the independence of India cannot be summarised by Gandhi alone though he may have a lot to do with it.... nevertheless these are just suggestions. Howdy! I was impressed with the page and just was wanting ya'll to know that. I have been in dog show and training 15 yrs on and off from bird dog trails to Shutzen. Rott's were my obedience and shutzen and first love and most educationable (what a hard headed breed) :) . I am interested in learning more on the kepie's and will do so. I have for some time thought agility trails would be fun. I did get a chance this summer to watch a working aussie trail with Australian cattle dogs and that was most interesting. I really enjoyed your website! I think that my dog is an Australian Kelpie but I'm not sure. We got him from the local Human Society and they assumed he was a Heinz-57. But after researching, my Fox looks like your Algae but is reddish w/ white paws and a white streak down his face. I'll try to scan a pic of him and submit it next week.

I have a beautiful kelpie, Desi, who I adopted at the Pierce County, WA humane society almost nine years ago. She's very smart, athletic and still very active...definitely a one person dog, when my husband gives her a command, she looks at me before complying! Anyway, she is an incredible joy and I would love to have another kelpie some day, but I wonder if there is any established breed rescue programs for kelpies. I'm not interested in going the breeder route, but it seems like adopting a kelpie is hit-or-miss through the rescue societies (they're usually listed as cattle dog mixes). Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks for your help.

His personality does not seem to fit with descriptions I have read of the Kelpie, so I therefore wonder what he is. He doesn't have any herding abilities, and has required a great deal of discipline. He is very enthusiastic (I usually say exasperating), demanding, very vocal, barks and cries a fair bit. He does have aone blue eye and one brown eye, and I wonder whether there is some husky in him. I know the huskies whine and wimper a lot, and some have blue eyes. Are blue eyes a trait of the Kelpie? If not, maybe I can assume he just looks like a Kelpie and really is some other amazing cross of some sort. I am a dog lover, and always used to say "I never met a dog I didn't like", but there have been times in the past when I have had difficulty liking this dog of mine. He is nine years old now, and we are beginning to understand each other, and I do love him, but it's been a long journey. I would appreciate your comments. Thanks. Jane

I just got a Kelpie Boarder collie cross dog until I got this dog I had never heard of a kelpie but I have searched the net to find info on this bread for the simple reason this dog does not look any thing like a collie so after researching the kelpie I have found what he looks like . they seem to be a good bread. He is going to be my ridding partner when Iam out horse back riding.

We were lucky enough to rescue two little black dogs from "death row" at the pound. Everyone thought that they would be terrier type dogs - but they were wrong. After looking at books in the pet store I ran across an identical picture of our male dog, Tigger. It was a black Kelpie (Barb). After nursing the two back to health, we have found them to be the most loving, hyper, anxious-to-please dogs ever. Winnie the pooh (the female) goes out to round up whatever of our pets we are calling. Although a bit arrogant, these dogs make the greatest pets if you can deal with their level of energy. Share my pickup truck with a Kelpie named Sheila. Recently my dog is out of work as we have closed our cattle operation. I did find a new line of work for her and as you know these dogs like to work! She took to her new trade as a bloodhound immediately. Have used her to help locate wounded game animals that have gotten away from hunter. Work her on a lead. Wants to work up a blood trail rapidly but will listen to me about the need to move slowly and carefully. With her big ears she has been able to listen and has given me a heads up if the animal being trailed might be a possible threat! I've started using her all animals, need or not. I've used her to trail whitetail deer and feral hogs. Texas guys, this is another good use for dog in your ranching operation and they will love you for it.
